Update as of November 8, 2011
I'm amazed at the date as I look at this update, to the  tee exactly one year since I wrote in the news section here. My blog was hacked into and basically put out of commission for entire 8 months, and I couldn't fix it because my account had been deleted, and I couldn't find anyone to help after several attempts until God spoke to me one day recently to try again. So i did, and someone was able to help me. Until that time, losing my blog was like punching a hole in a ballon. I wasn't inspired to update my main webpage, either. Still ,so many of you were faithful to come back. Well, my blog is updated and this is updated, too.

However the links to my blogs may be a little skewed still. I think it still works, but it might look a little strange or be a little awkward. I basically have to relink all of my pages as their names had to be changed. I basically had to get a new account, but the person who did it was able to save everything.

We were meeting on 32nd street in Newport News for the homeless ministry (along with SMART ministries for awhile, but that got shut down. We are still doing the backpack ministry and Jim and Mary are as active as ever. In the meantime, I feel God has called be back for a season to focus on my family and my own healing. I'm still applying intercessory prayer. I'm trying to be really sensitive to God's voice. Jim feels that the ministry should focus on an on-line presence now with teaching, etc, and at some point I will be getting together with them to update the fig tree haven website and add a blog for them-and teach them how to use it!

Update as of November 8, 2010

For the last few days I have been busy up-dating the Fig Tree Haven Website. My computer is so slow which makes any updates very time-consuming and painful. I am due for an update to this website and will try to get to it around next weekend. My husband got a terrific job about three months ago and I'm hoping eventually to be able to afford a brand new computer so I can update and work on the website in a much more efficient manner.

Update as of April 13, 2010

I've added a google translate widget to the site so that anyone from all over the world can translate my web page in their own language by a simple click of a button.

I usually update my blog about once a week so check there for more personal insight into the life of me as an artist and also to see some of the stories behind my artwork or things God has placed on my heart to share.

Update as of February 22, 2010

I've added a slide show and a new blog. I've also uploaded many new pieces to fineartamerica.com. I've started adding a new gallery, but I will probably not link to it until it is complete. I'm not sure yet if the gallery will work for me or if I have to design my own.

I had my first art showing at the Riverview Gallery in Portsmouth on Feb 5, 2010. I had one piece in the abstract art show called, "But what is it?"  The piece that I entered was called, "His Love Never Fails." I made the piece ust for the show and it has a nice testimony to go with it!

I was also featured in a Christian, Russian website called, "I Shall Pour Out my Spirit on All Flesh." I don't speak Russian, but you can use free on-line translators.

Update as of January 8, 2010:

I've slashed my commission prices at Fine Art America, since they give me the ability to do that there. I think you'll see if you look around that mine are the cheapest around.

Why did I do this? Number one, I'm an emerging artist, so I feel like this is a fair thing to do until I get more established. Number 2, cheaper prices mean more people can buy. Number 3, I want my art to be available to those who don't have much money. Even as my popularity and demand grows I will probably always have options available that even the poor man/woman could afford.

Update as of January 4th, 2010:

I made some layout changes, designed a new header, and got the Fig Tree Haven website up and running, which is the ministry I am involved in which my art supports. You can find out more about it in my ministry page and and also see it in my links page.

 Update a of January 2, 2010:

I now have prints, canvases, and cards available at Fine Art America, which you can go to from my gallery section. I'll still keep finerworks up and you can be the judge which you think is the better deal or better quality. It might depend on what you want. I'm still building Fine Art America so there might be some prints which are still only available at finerworks. There's also prints at Fine Art America that are not available at finerworks. Fine Art America has cards for only around $4.95, and you can get discounts for purchasing the cards in quantity. Both sites have different paper or canvas choices. You can even choose different mats and frames at Fine Art America. It's fun to play around with it to see what looks good. They have a variety of colors available.

I've also added a photography section.

Because I can control my commission at Fine Art America I'm thinking about featuring a certain art piece once a week or a month at a special discount, maybe even 50% off, well off my commission price that is. I can not control their printing and production costs. They are very fair in their pricing, though, and you can see exactly what you are paying for and choose the size or special features you want.  I've chosen a many sizes as possible for each print with only a $5 difference in commission rate for me as the sizes increase. There are a few items only available in cards because the original upload was not big enough to allow the print to come out clearly. Fine Art America will not allow any print to be made unless it is of the highest quality and clarity, without pixalation, which guarentees quality for you.

There's also updates in the ministry section. Check it out!

Update as of November 17, 2009: This site is still under construction.

When you click on the Art Galley page link you now have a choice and can shop around to see what you think is the best deal for particular items or you can simply enjoy the viewing. Each site is a little bit different and will include some of the same pictures or different ones. I will gradually add to these sites. Eventually, I would like to have just one gallery, with the different categories, and when you click on the picture it will lead you to the different choices among the sites. This will take awhile to set up. For now, this will have to do. Enjoy!

There are a few kinks to be worked out, especially on the webrings page. Also, in the gallery page under Art Frequency as the picture links seem to take you to random pictures within Art Frequency. If you hit the next arrow you will eventually get to one of my three.

Eventually, I will add some of my prophetic words and God inspired thoughts/teachings, some of which go along with my art, and some of which is independent.
